New statue of Edison brings light to statehouse

A new statue of Ohio native Thomas Edison was unveiled this morning in the rotunda of the Ohio Statehouse. The work by Zanesville artist Allan Cottrill will be on display at the statehouse for a few months before heading to its permanent home at the U. S. Capitol in Washington.

*Call it ironic if you like, but the statue of Edison holding the light bulb was placed this morning in front of an electrical outlet.  (jj)
