12-year-old Hilltop shooting victim released from hospital

When police arrived on the scene of a shooting at a home on the Hilltop Monday night, 12-year-old Kylie Anderson emerged from the home having been shot multiple times. Her parents and little brother were dead inside the house, but she survived. Wednesday night, Kylie was released from the hospital.

NBC4 reports that the little girl attended a vigil for her family on the eve of Thanksgiving before going home with other family members.

As police continue their investigation into the killings committed by neighbor Barry Kirk (killed that night by a trio of officers), plans are being made to lay Kylie’s mother, father and little brother to rest next week.  (jj)
