Gov. Kasich appeared on “Fox News Sunday” yesterday and talked about Medicaid, Common Core, whether he might run for President, and quoted Abraham Lincoln. Oh, but one thing. Abraham Lincoln never said what Kasich quoted. Responding to Obama’s plans to raise taxes for the wealthy, and to support his stand, Kasich said:  “You can’t build a little guy up by tearing the big guy down. Abraham Lincoln said it then, and he’s right.”

Well, actually it was Rev. William J. H. Boetcker (a minister-turned-public speaker, who was born eight years after Lincoln died) who said that. (deb)
