Pup of the Week: Rocky

Pup of the Week: Rocky

rockynow 614Now has partnered with the CHA Animal Shelter to put some focus each week on a cute pup up for adoption. This week, we take a look at Rocky.

Rocky is a 2 1/2 year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix. He is a big, yellow and white, 73-pound pooch. He is described as a completely loving and wonderful dog. He would do well in an active home where he can get daily exercise. Rocky also loves toys and would like plenty of them in his new home. He loves to run around the shelter play yard with other active dogs. The folks at CHA say that everyone there loves Rocky, but that he needs and deserves a forever home.

Rocky’s adoption fee is listed at $130. He is up-to-date on all of his shots, and has been neutered and micro-chipped. Adoption fees go right back into the shelter to help care for animals continuing to wait for their new homes.

Learn more about Rocky and the other great animals at CHA on their website.

More about CHA Animal Shelter:

CHA Animal Shelter is a nonprofit animal shelter in northeast Columbus, Ohio (3765 Corporate Drive). CHA is funded solely by donations from adoption fees, donations from the public, and various other fundraising efforts. Their mission is to serve the people and animals of Central Ohio by providing safe, temporary shelter and care for abandoned or otherwise homeless cats and dogs, and to reduce pet overpopulation by means of spay and neuter, education, and community outreach. They have been fulfilling that mission since 1975.

Adoption fees are designed to help offset a portion of the cost of food, shelter, and medical care for each rescued animal.  (jj)
