Condado Taqueria, the sugar skull decorated, custom-made tacos offering food heaven, will open its third Columbus restaurant this spring at Easton Town Center.  The Easton Condado opening will follow the Pittsburgh location, which is scheduled for early spring in downtown Pittsburgh.  Condado Easton is the fourth restaurant in 18 months for the fast-growing Condado Taqueria concept.

“We have been overwhelmed with the demand for Condado. Our patrons are loving our atmosphere, house made and customizable tacos, wide variety of margaritas, and late night dining,” said Condado owner/proprietor Joe Kahn. “Because of the demand here in Columbus, we’re planning to expand beyond Ohio and are opening our first Condado in Pittsburgh in early spring.”

Condado Easton will occupy the 3,247 sq. foot space previously occupied by Cosi. Like Condado Short North and Condado at The Commons, Condado Easton will allow guests to custom order their tacos with choices of shells, proteins, cheeses, fresh vegetables, salsas and sauces from its scratch kitchen. A margarita menu as well as an offering of 50 tequila choices, 50 whiskeys and 25 varieties of craft beers on tap, complement the food served at Condado. Condado Easton will also feature a 500 sq. foot patio for outdoor dining.

According to owner/operator Joe Kahn, Condado Easton will offer the same taco, guacamole, and queso options as the other locations and will feature similar décor such as Condado’s signature repurposed church pews and iconic artwork by Ohio’s Finko Creative. Kahn added that the décor of each Condado is similar but distinct. “It will be a little different on the inside but there will be no mistaking that it is Condado.”

“Condado is an highly sought after Columbus-born Taqueria that we are thrilled to add to the mix here at Easton Town Center,” said Jennifer Peterson, Chief Executive, Easton. “We expect our customers to embrace Condado just as they have our other locally developed concepts like Zest, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Celebrate Local, Homage, Northstar Cafe and more.”

Condado Easton will offer house made chorizo, 12-hour braised beef, guacamoles, quesos and sauces, fresh cheeses and vegetables and unique taco specials.

“We are beyond excited to be part of the Easton community,” said Kahn. “In addition to being part of one the premier commercial development destinations in the country, being part of the Easton development puts us on a national stage for expansion.”

Kahn said that Condado will take possession of the space on Jan. 2 and is planning a May 5 opening to coincide with Cinco de Mayo.
