New kid on the block: Hot Chicken Kitchen
There will soon be a new name in Nashville-style hot chicken in Columbus, Hot Chicken Kitchen.
The new fast-casual restaurant, opening at 1844 Hilliard-Rome Road, has a future franchise in mind, with another location in Columbus set to open in the fall and one in Huntsville, Alabama by the end of the year.
Owner Ron Freeman already has some experience in the franchise world with Tom + Chee and Gigi’s Cupcakes, though the trendiness of hot chicken might make Hot Chicken Kitchen his best one yet.
Of course, a new hot chicken restaurant in Columbus begs the question: how will it compete with Hot Chicken Takeover?
He says the main difference between the two restaurants will be that his is designed to be franchised.
At the end of the day, it’s up to Columbus to decide who the winner of this hot chicken standoff will be.
Hot Chicken Kitchen is set to open in a few weeks.
