While Rock on the Range has already received acclaim from all manner of music fans and metalheads, this year is the first time it’s received official awards from the city.

Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther and City Council presented awards of recognition to the festival, and the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners drew a resolution to honor the 10th anniversary of Rock on the Range.

According to a press release, the awards were presented due to the $140 million in economic impact the festival has brought to Columbus over the past 10 years.

After a strong showing at this year’s festival, these awards are well-deserved.

Here’s to another 10 years of rock in Columbus!
