Known for throwing his jersey aside at Blue Jackets games and downing beers on the jumbotron, Blue Jackets superfan “Dancing Kevin” decided at the beginning of 2016 that enough was enough.

His jolly waistline was his trademark, but it wasn’t healthy. Weighing in at 358 pounds with a gut that measured almost 5 feet around, Kevin Schroeder, 44, of Clintonville, set a goal for himself: to get healthy.

Though he didn’t have a specific number of pounds in mind when he started, his work with personal trainer Jack Skaggs has paid off big-time halfway through the year.

At his most recent weigh-in, Schroeder had dropped a whopping 100 lbs., and Skaggs is encouraging him to drop another 50.

Though he made a stop at Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace to celebrate the evaporated pounds and inches, he says he’s fully committed to his health, serving as an advocate for himself and an inspiration to others.
