Buckeyes defeat Akron Zips in first game of NIT
The Akron Zips last beat Ohio State back in 1913, and in a not-so-shocking turn of events, they lost to the Buckeyes again last night.
But they certainly put up a good fight–embarrassingly so for the Buckeyes.
The Zips led the Buckeyes at halftime 29-25 and even forced the game into overtime play.
However, in the end the Buckeyes proved themselves in the extra five minutes, where they never trailed.
The Buckeyes’ next game will be against the Florida Gators at The Schott.
