Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown Wants Steve Bannon Fired

614now Staff

Ohio’s Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown wants President-elect Donald Trump to fire one of his most recent cabinet appointees, Trump Campaign CEO Steve Bannon.

Sherrod Brown is not mincing words either, with a petition that blasts Trump’s campaign rhetoric as, “bigoted, hateful…” That very rhetoric was part of Steve Bannon’s responsibility as the campaign CEO. Brown also said in a release that Bannon has promoted “anti-Semitic, racist, misogynistic” views that help further a white nationalist agenda.

“You’ve said you want to be a president for all of us. You can’t do that by empowering those who threaten the safety of any Americans.” Brown wrote on his petition request.

Sherrod Brown is not the only major political figure pushing for Steve Bannon’s termination, including Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, Harry Reid, and a huge majority of Ohio party democrats. They’ve all signed a letter addressed to Donald J. Trump
