Wow. Homage is officially ‘the local t-shirt shop that could’ after nabbing a $10M investment from Express Inc.

Homage Founder Ryan Vesler shot up a blog post on the company’s website after the news broke.

“Leaning on the experience, talent and team of Express will help us reach a goal I’ve long wanted to achieve – to bring HOMAGE to more people.”

In an email, CEO Jason Block said that Express will do consulting work for Homage on an ongoing basis, and that the investment allows Homage to expand digitally and their brick-and-mortar presence.

“There are so many stories to be told, people to revere and places to discover,” he wrote. “I could never have imagined having the support and confidence of a company like Express when I started Homage in my parent’s basement more than nine years ago (LOVE YOU, MOM & DAD!). Our team is energized by the talent, capabilities and shared values of our new partner.”

Homage is sitting at four stores currently in three different cities. Two of those stores are here in Columbus, but Homage is scouting other cities for expansion.

Long story short, this is a huge victory for a small t-shirt company that started off in an Alley. Homage is taking off like a rocket ship, and Columbus is along for the ride.
