Bogus Ballot Claims Proved False

Some people still struggle with the fact that the internet is a living document of what everyone on this planet does in the digital sense.

According to Fox28, a columbus man was claiming on an internet post and picture that he had found sealed ballot boxes with votes for Hillary Clinton and the Democratic party. The Franklin County Board of Elections said none of it is true, but for those of you who enjoy conspiracy theories, hold your horses.

The picture posted along with claims, which were going viral via the Christian Times Newspaper, were immediately investigated and found to be fake and part of a different article posted by the Birmingham Times, a British news source.

In statement released by the Franklin County Board of Elections said,” The only ballots that have been printed and mailed are for military and citizens living outside the United States. Not one single ballot has been mailed to anyone in Franklin County, Ohio, or a registered Franklin County resident that has requested a ballot be mailed to another address within the United States.”

The Board of Elections insures that there are numerous safety procedures to secure the ballots, as trust during the elections if of utmost importance.

So not only were the picture and claims fake, Fox28 couldn’t find any evidence that the man making them even exists. The internet sure is an interesting place.
