As consumer habits change and evolve, three of America’s major retailers are planning to close their stores across the state and the nation.

According to 10tv, Sears holdings is closing 78 Kmart stores and 26 Sears stores by the end of March, including 6 in central Ohio.

Macy’s is also closing 68 stores, including two in Columbus and two others in Ohio after a insufficient holiday shopping season.

No word yet on when exactly Macy’s plans to close, but Sears and Kmart are already slated to have liquidation sales as early as January 6th.
