Police Searching for Columbus Bank Robber

614now Staff

In one of the most relaxed, laziest bank robberies ever, a man walked into a Columbus bank, slid a note to the teller demanding money and insinuating he was armed, and then just walked out — money in hand, smile on his face.

Police are now searching for the robber of First Merit Bank at 7490 Sawmill Road, according to 10tv.  No one was injured and the man didn’t actually produce any weapons.

The suspect is described as a white or hispanic male, 30 years old, 5’3” to 5’6” tall and 160 pounds. He had black hair and was wearing “a red baseball cap,” (looks like an OSU cap to us), brown jacket and jeans.
