Exclusive: Local chefs claim Brewery District for new restaurant concept

Two Columbus mad food scientists are teaming up to deliver a new restaurant concept. Catie Randazzo of Challah! and Matthew Heaggans, most recently of The Rossi, will be leading the entourage of chef-driven food and great customer service in the Brewery District, coming March of 2018.
They’ll call it Ambrose & Eve after Randazzo’s grandparents who, coincidently, weren’t too savvy in the kitchen.
“I guess this is my way to get my grandmother’s redemption because she thought she was an amazing cook,” said Randazzo.
They have become great friends after years in the Columbus food industry. They took a hiatus from the city but have since returned, determined to jazz up the scene a bit. Together, their concept will achieve something new, fresh, innovative, and collaborative.
You’ll be able to get your paws on dinner items like fried chicken with all the fixings and specialty concoctions like pastramied carrots with rye crisps, sour cabbage, and mustard aioli. But after your Sunday pilates, it’ll be the spot for brunch too. In fact, they’ll be serving up brunch seven days a week.
Challah! will still be rolling through Columbus, business as usual for the truck and at Woodlands Tavern. But the two have their sights set on making Ambrose & Eve something special.

“Having Matthew on my team, I have no fear that this will fail,” said Randazzo.

Heaggans added, “It’ll be great to share a kitchen with Catie and have the chance to bounce ideas off of each other and have a real creative collaboration. She’s never been afraid to call me on my bullshit, but I think that makes you better.”

Here’s a look at where you’ll find Ambrose & Eve come March 2018:
