Celebrate life, liberty, and total lunacy at The Doo Dah Parade

If you’re sick and tired of buttoning up your crazy only to conform to what your 9-5 requires, pop out of that tie and put on your Dr. Seuss top hat because The Doo Dah Parade is yodeling for you and your weirdness.

Completely bonkers is the only way to describe this alternative July 4th parade. Their claim to fame is celebrating liberty and lunacy through the first amendment. Their fuzzy hats are hung on humor and normalcy was thrown out the window before the I-270 belt.

The parade steps off at around 1pm and all the best weirdos march until about 3pm. But feel free to come hang out as early as 11am.

If you don’t want to parade around in a mixture of the last 9 Halloween costumes you sported, the Block Party on Buttles Ave. and High St. will be bouncing from 10am- 7pm. Beer, bands, and probably some blazing.

Here’s the lineup:

10- 10:45 am Ryan Smith

11- 11:45am The Jeffs

noon- 1pm Devil Doves

1:45- 2:30pm Doc Robinson

3- 4pm Vodka ROXX

4:15- 5pm Trouble Boys

5:15- 6pm McCallister

6:15- 7pm C L A C I

The Doo Dah Parade is pretty lawless when it comes to following the norms but they do have some stipulations for participants:

  • All Politicians Must Wear A Funny Hat
  • No Blatant Advertising
  • No Full Nudity
  • No Water Balloons Or Super Soakers
  • Please Do Not Throw Candy Or Any Other Junk From The Parade
  • No Soft-Pawed Animals “Walking” Parade (Unless You Walk Barefoot Too)
