Golfing and gardening party to benefit cancer patients

This July 24, you can golf with more of a purpose than to simply outshoot neighbor man Bill. The Pinnacle Golf Club in Grove City will be hosting the 7th annual Janet Alexander Memorial Golf Tournament. The proceeds will benefit Helping Hands in the Garden. The organization’s volunteers get down and earthy in cancer patient’s gardens to help beautify. It was a favorite of Janet and her family– She felt she had “won the lottery” when she discovered Helping Hands in the Garden. Dr. Michael Fleitz, D.D.S. and Dr. Jeffrey Tilson, D.D.S. are putting on the get together.

For those attending the tournament who get a big yawn out of golf, there will also be a garden party with a create your own Herbal Delights workshop. Once the golfing and garden party commence, everyone will reconvene for dinner, a silent auction, and raffles.

This event is to enjoy some summer fun with friends and family, honor the life of Janet Alexander, and to increase community awareness of the wonders gardening can do to one’s health and well-being.

To register for the golf or garden party or make a donation, please contact Debbie at 614-939-4800 or [email protected].
