In June 1981, the first ever Pride march took place in Columbus. Thirty-six years later, we’re marching on prouder than ever.

The route of the parade has changed a bit so read up before scouting out the best place to spectate or where to step off if you’re participating. Note: the parade will begin in Goodale Park and conclude in Genoa Park.

Here are a few other newsworthy things going on during Pride Week:

  • ADAMH will have a Self-Care hub at the fest with stress ball making and meet and greets with Stonewall Columbus counselors.
  • Land Grant is getting in on the festivities with sweet new merch (100% of proceeds benefiting Stonewall Columbus)
  • Tonight, Mayor Ginther will illuminate city hall in rainbow colors in commemoration of Pride Week.
  • The first ever Pride Hop will go down on Saturday which will allow spectators of the parade to peruse all the cool Short North shops early in the day. Click here to see all the participating businesses and when they’ll be open.

Keep an eye on Stonewall Columbus Pride Festival and Parade Facebook page as updates come in often!
