For all you nosey people out there, dozens of exciting local artists are giving you a backstage pass for one weekend only. On October 7 and 8, local artists are opening up their creative abodes for you to explore at your own pace. The event is called Columbus Open Studio & Stage (COSS) and encourages your exploration of how the magic happens in the city’s arts scene.

Participants can purchase maps online and choose which studios and artists they’d like to get to know. If you’re really ambitious, you can visit all 50 artists at the 32 studios and seven stages available to tour. But you only have from 11am until 5pm each day to do it. It’s kind of like speed dating all our local artists.

If you’re way, way ahead of the game, you can download the COSS app on Piggyback to plan out your tour virtually.

Maps are only $10 (or $18 for two, $35 for four, $75 for 10) and they are your “golden ticket” into the studios and stages. Purchase online, at www.columbusopenstudioandstage.com/buy; find more info at www.columbusopenstudioandstage.com including how to use the app and info on local eateries that are giving special discounts to map holders.
