Condado—the place we all know and love for the create-your-own tacos and gooey delicious queso—has announced plans to open a fifth location in the Polaris area.

The newest Condado will be located on 8958 Lyra Drive and is slated to open in the summer of 2018, according to statement in a press release from Joe Kahn, owner and proprietor of Condado. With all the immediate success the Easton location has had, Kahn said he was inspired to look at other areas. Lucky enough for those residing in areas like Westerville and Worthington, Kahn decided that the Polaris area was the perfect space for custom tacos and urban flair.

“Condado Polaris can serve several neighboring areas as well as traffic from Polaris-area businesses, shopping and entertainment,” Kahn stated in a press release. “We are excited to bring our tacos to the suburbs.”

The plans for the 4,006 sq. ft. location will mimic Condado’s brand of interior design with features like church pews and street art and murals, but they plan to add details that are specific to the Polaris area.

Currently, Condado has four locations in Columbus—the Short North, Downtown, Easton, and Clintonville—and one location in Pittsburgh. There are rumblings that Condado will open several other locations during 2018 including one in Cincinnati, two in Indianapolis, and a second one in Pittsburgh.

For now, we’ll just enjoy our Columbus locations that keep popping up like Starbucks on every corner.
