#Love614: Fall in love over bacon and rockabilly

614now Staff

This week, we want you to take your sweetheart out and squeeze the last few drops of summer out of the air. The outdoors are a great place to kindle affection but our time’s a-wastin’. Pretty soon, we’ll be on a one-way street to cabin fever. So let’s grab some closed toe shoes and scoot out the door to fall. In love.

The Meet-Up
Bacon Fest

What better way to show your partner you love them than to slurp up some fried pork belly together? Bacon Fest returns to the Columbus Commons for one night only this Friday. It starts bright and early at 5 PM, so you can meat your sweetie right after work and get the pork party started.

Movin’ Right Along
Old North Arcade

Head up town to The Old North Arcade for some drinks and some old school console games. Stick inside with the shared high top tables and meet some new friends, or take the party out to the patio while you still can. There’s life sized Jenga, and sidewalk Twister, just to make things interesting.

The Main Event
Wanda Jackson @ Natalie’s

Keep moving north, to Natalie’s Coal-Fired Pizza in Worthington. This Friday night, the legendary Queen of Rockabilly Wanda Jackson will be gracing the stage in all her fringey, sparkling, hairs prayed glory. At 80 years old, Wanda is still a night owl. She doesn’t take the stage until 10 PM, giving you plenty of time to practice your old school dance moves.
