Former OSU quarterback Troy Smith dropping Heisman for hydroponics

No friends, those aren’t buckeye leaves..

Ohio will select 24 applicants out of a large vat to grow medical marijuana and former OSU quarterback Troy Smith (right) wants to be one of them. He alongside Cleveland Glenville High School coach Ted Ginn Sr. (center), and former Cleveland Browns playmaker Eric Metcalf are looking to go from pigskins to marijuana kingpins.

The three want to bring a dispensary to the Cleveland area. First, they’ll have to swoon members of the Marijuana Control Program.

Tom Knox of Columbus Business First reported on the story.
