Car crashes into construction zone, injuries reported

A car driving on the west side at I-270 and I-70 crashed into a work zone injuring two people.

The driver along with a roadside worker were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car got in between the guardrail and the temporary concrete barrier that protects the workers from traffic.

The ramp from I-70 WB to I-270 SB was closed temporarily but is now open.
