After over 12 years of being an integral part of Columbus’ Alternative Station, DJ and former Program Director Lesley James will be shipping out in less than two weeks. James has accepted a head position at the U.S. radio and streaming department at East City management in New York City.

She made the announcement on her Instagram earlier this afternoon.

BUSTED!! Cat’s out of the bag… Friends, it’s been wild ride, but after 12+ years at CD101/102.5, I’m leaving to head up the U.S. radio and streaming department at East City Management home to artists like alt-J and Wolf Alice. I’m excited to take my PD skills to the artist management side of biz, and am thrilled to team up with some of my favorite programmers and label reps. I also look forward to building relationship with PDs and music directors that I have yet to cross paths with in the industry. I will hang up my headphones, well actually I’ve been borrowing Mase’s for a year…. anyway, my final show is Friday, December 29th from 3-7P EST. I have absolutely no idea what I’ll say and play, but you should tune in nonetheless! Listen live worldwide at CD1025.com. Requests are welcome and encouraged! Thanks to boss-man Randy Malloy, my mentor, the late, great Andyman, CD101/102.5 family past and present, partners, clients, artists, family and fans – it’s been an incredible adventure. Thank you for the memories and thank you for supporting local, independent radio!! — Join me and the CD102.5 family in the Big Room Bar (1036 South Front St., Columbus 43206) for happy hour on Thursday, January 4th at 5P for a beer or two!!
