Come late August, you’ll have yet another reason to return to campus and relive your glory days as a young, innocent Buckeye (and your infamous nights spent concussing yourself by smashing beer cans over your head).
Leo’s on the Alley will the newest addition to the Gateway district and will open just in time for the first football game. It’ll shimmy into the space formerly occupied by Eddie George’s private event area, a part of the restaurant that wasn’t consumed by TRISM, reports The Lantern.
The bar will have an old familiar feel, much like its sister bar Oldfield’s North Fourth Tavern. Dan Starek is the papa.
Starek’s agenda consists of resurrecting the old dive bar feel from the 90s despite all the newbies on campus now and those to come, and keeping beer prices down for students. He wont’ be fiddling with broken bottles or patrons commandeering the aux cord either as Leo’s will only serve cans and play music strictly from a jukebox.
Much like us, you’re probably wondering why the hell someone by the name of Dan Starek would name his bar “Leo’s.” Starek told The Lantern that anyone who can figure out Leo’s identity will receive free drinks for the rest of their college career.
