Attorney General files lawsuit against “charity” operator accused of identity theft

A lawsuit has been filed against Central Ohio Sober Living, a “charity” run by Johnny R. Marcum. Attorney General Mike DeWine explained an investigation uncovered numerous problem with the organization, and is seeking to completely dissolve the organization with this lawsuit.

Johnny R. Marcum has been accused of stealing his clients person information and committing identity fraud. He was indicted in 2016 on charges of identity fraud, passing bad checks, theft and forgery.

DeWine related his charity was run poorly as well, claiming little to no evidence of charitable programming.
