Trunk full of fentanyl could’ve killed the entire city

A few weeks ago, police seized what they say was enough fentanyl to kill every person in the whole city.

That’s right, all 860,000+ people here could have been killed by the contents in the trunk of a car—the car belonging to three men from California.

What exactly is a fatal dose?  According to Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien, as cited by the TRIB Live, a fatal dose of fentanyl is just 2 or 3 milligrams.

Joel Lassiter, Luis Delgado, and Rashaad Williams were arrested with  4.5 pounds of fentanyl in the car, which is roughly  2,00,000 milligrams.

Fox 8 reports the three were arrested and charged with aggravated drug trafficking and drug possession. The arrest was made at an undisclosed Columbus hotel.
