Up to 100 disabled and low-income seniors are being forced out of Bollinger Tower in the Short North.

The residents are being moved out in order to transform the once low-income housing for seniors into a Cambria Suites hotel. Current Residents have until Monday to be moved out. The Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority has assisted the soon to be former residents in finding new places to live and moving their things, but some are still unhappy about being forced out.

Randy Skaggs, an 18 year long resident of Bollinger Tower, explained how he felt to NBC4. “It wasn’t right. It wasn’t right to put us out like this…” said Skaggs. “I didn’t want to go, but I guess I gotta go…”
