Everyone wants to be #new2osu, record number of applications

Ohio State University received another record number of applicants for the 2017-18 school year. Why is everyone so obsessed with us?

Last year, OSU received 49,407 resumes + cover letters + letters of rec + essays which was a record then. This year, that number increased 6.1 percent to 52,425. That number is up 82.8 percent since 2012.

Hopefully the steeper competition allows for only the cream of the crop to sport scarlet and gray this Fall. Good luck applicants!

Fall classes begin Tuesday, August 22.
