West High School building is a hot mess according to teachers

West High School has seen better days. According to staff, the school is literally crumbling before their eyes; deteriorating walls, weak ceilings, unheated classrooms, mouse droppings. Teachers find it difficult to teach under these conditions. Rightfully so– can you imagine explaining American history to a mischief of mice?

The real problem is that they don’t believe the school is giving these problems the attention they need.

In light of a letter from faculty to the school leaders that highlighted their concerns about the school’s environment, the district dished out some words of encouragement. They assures proper action will be taken including addressing janitorial issues and other unspecified improvements that will take place over the next five years.
