Mother learns new info about son killed in State Fair accident

Tyler Jarrell was 18-year-old when he died at the Ohio State Fair. He was aboard the Fire Ball ride with his girlfriend, Keziah Lewis, who was seriously injured when the ride came apart.

It’s been nearly three months and Jarrell’s mother has finally broken the silence about her son’s death.

Amber Duffield said her son worked hard to earn money but was somehow always broke. It wasn’t until after the accident that she found where all of his cash was going, reports 10tv.

Duffield discovered that her son was buying other people’s gas, groceries, and insurance. She also said that as soon as she saw the news of the Fire Ball ride malfunction, she knew her son was one of the victims.

Both her motherly intuition and worst nightmares came true when an officer knocked on their door, repots 10tv.

Jarrell would have been a senior at Franklin Heights High School. His classmates are honoring his memory with fundraisers to secure a memorial in the school garden.
