Officer Involved Shooting Near Ohio State Campus

Columbus Police have responded to an officer-involved shooting call on Neil Avenue. The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. in the area of Neil Avenue and West Northwood Avenue near The Ohio State University Campus.

According to police the situation began as a stabbing at a Neil Avenue home.

While fleeing the suspect was shot at by police while they pursued the suspect into a nearby field, according to authorities. The officer was not injured and the identities of those involved were not immediately known.
