Is COTA Partnering with Ride Sharing Companies?
COTA is looking to partner with Uber, Lyft, and privately-owned taxi companies to address what could be part of fixing a transportation divide in Columbus.
COTA recently announced that it is looking at adding new high-speed mass-transit to Columbus as part of its NextGen plan but seems to be aware that not all transportation needs will be met with the NextGen plan.
Ride-sharing could help move people to faraway bus stops providing what’s BizJournal calls “first and last-mile access to riders.”
Funding for this project has not yet been determined.
