UPDATE: Another Attack in German Village

Update: A third attack in German Village occurred Monday night. No details have been released. Police will be available for questions and safety guidance tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the German Village Society Meeting Haus, 588 South 3rd Street.

Victims have described their assailant as a young black man, about 6 feet tall and wearing a white or silver mask.

This week German Village is on high alert after a duo of violent assaults and attempted robbery.

Police confirmed with 10tv that both incidents involved women being physically assaulted. On Monday a woman was in her garage when she was confronted by a man who ran up behind her and punched her several times in the face.

The second incident occurred Tuesday when an assailant approached a woman leaving her home and put a knife to her throat after demanding money.

The German Village Society, residents groups, neighbors and visitors are on high alert after the attacks.
