As announced earlier this year, Yolanda Harris is leaving ABC 6 / FOX 28. In a bittersweet goodbye she said it was “one of the hardest decisions I have ever made.”

The affiliate station wasted no time in finding a replacement though as Yolanda Harris will be replaced by Akron native Stacia Naquin. She’ll appear alongside Bob Kendrick, Kurt Ludlow and Bill Kelly for the evening news broadcasts.

“As soon as I met Bob, Bill, Kurt, and the rest of the incredible team, I knew I was in the right place,” Naquin said in a news release. “I am ready to get to work and join this community, meeting the people of Central Ohio and sharing their stories.”

Naquin is coming from an NBC affiliate in Phoenix where she helmed a 4 pm newscast alongside investigating consumer stories.

“An award-winning breaking news anchor and reporter, Stacia has covered stories from across the country, including the Aurora Theater shooting, Prince Harry’s visit to the United States and Super Bowl XLIX. She reported live from her home state of Oklahoma after a deadly tornado made its way through Moore, taking viewers inside the cleanup and recovery efforts.” The news release said.
