Former Ohio State gymnast struck and killed by semi

Last week, former Ohio State gymnast was hit by a tractor trailer in Northern Columbus and has since died from the accident. Larry Mayer was an two-time Academic All Big Ten Athlete, as well as a three-time Ohio State Scholar Athlete. Police think Mayer left his car to walk along the freeway before the trailer tractor hit him at 3 a.m.

Mayer finished his senior season of gymnastics in 2015.

We are all mourning his loss.
