Communications Coordinator

Cultured Kids Club is the leading full immersion language center in Columbus, Ohio.

Since 2008, Cultured Kids Club has educated more than 1,100 students! We offer our award-winning total immersion foreign language programs in more than 20 different locations throughout Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Tennessee.

Position Overview :

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for managing Cultured Kids Club’s communications, including webpages, print marketing, and social media. The Communications Coordinator will development, design and maintain materials and provide communications support. The Communications Coordinator will also maintain consistency using Cultured Kids Club’s standards and best practices. The Communications Coordinator reports to the Director and works closely with other senior staff. We are accepting applications for this position until December 2, 2017.

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with the Director on various communication projects to support the vision of a national organization with programs reaching in all 50 states
  • Serve as a direct liaison with Cultured Kids Club’s clients, including providing clients with information about upcoming events, client website resources, and account information
  • Lead efforts to effectively market Cultured Kids Club, LLC and other earned income programs to diverse audiences through online, print, and in-person channels
  • Manage creation, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic materials, including:
  • Monthly e-newsletters for an external audience of clients, partners, and supporters
  • Two print newsletters per year for donors, partners, and other supporters
  • Create new webpages and maintain overall website design
  • Marketing, development, and solicitation materials, as needed
  • Consistent and engaging postings and conversations on social media outlets, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube, as appropriate
  • Maintain and update the Cultured Kids Club website with document, photos, news articles, newsletters, press releases, etc.
  • Event announcements, invitations, programs, and signage
  • Help other staff members to prepare for classes, trainings, engagements, and other events to ensure that all communications are accurate and consistent
  • Work with leadership to identify media opportunities and implement campaigns around key programs and issues, including monitoring media cycles and updating media lists
  • Assist with other projects as needed



  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.)
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into language easily comprehensible to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work independently as part of an entrepreneurial team
  • Ability to prioritize among competing goals
  • Articulate, polished, and professional demeanor with strong work ethic, initiative, and confidence
  • Savvy with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher) as well as online email and website platforms


  • Experience and proven success working in member or client services role
  • Graphic design skills
  • Database experience
  • Copy editing and/or professional writing experience a plus
