Sales/Community Relations Director

OVERVIEW

The Sales/Community Relations Director is responsible for developing and maintaining Resident census of the Community through marketing/sales efforts, relationship development, and a skilled sales approach in Assisted Living and Memory Care at assigned location(s).

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Experience, and Certifications

  • College Degree required, preferably in business or marketing
  • Experience as Marketing Director or other closely related position in the long term care industry highly preferred
  • Current First Aide and CPR Certification required

JOB DUTIES

Marketing

  • Organizes, coordinates and oversees all Community marketing efforts and outreach programs
  • Plans, organizes and implements a quarterly marketing plan
  • Maintains adequate supply of collateral material that is readily available

Community Relations

  • Promotes the brand with confidence and fluency
  • Consistently works to identify and develop new referral sources
  • Works to maintain and nurture relationships with existing referral sources

Resident Census

  • Monitors and reports census daily
  • Performs tours and demonstrates ability to close the sale for qualified leads
  • Conducts a relaxed discovery session with the prospective resident or their significant other
  • Makes connection with prospective resident or significant other
  • Ensures prospect has all questions are answered
  • Demonstrates active listening techniques and a consultative approach

Team Participation and Engagement

  • Trains care team members in their role in sales and marketing
  • Conducting a tour and obtaining information from customer
  • Response to individuals when touring building with the CRD

First Impressions Management

  • Ensures building is tour ready
  • Addresses operational issues that may negatively impact the sale
  • Open, honest and timely feedback directly to the appropriate department manager for resolution
  • Informs Executive Director of persistent issues

Administrative

  • Ensures adequate inventory of marketing supplies
  • Maintains Constant Contact database with correspondence and blasts as planned
  • Prepares reports as required
  • Manages departmental budget successfully

Other

  • Participates in the Manager On Call rotation
  • Maintains personal education to be current in marketing methods and strategies in assisted living

PHYSICAL STRENGTH REQUIRED

Frequent body movements include lifting, moving, transferring, bending (static forward bending), stooping, squatting and reaching. Able to do heavy lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying of objects weighting up to fifty (50) pounds unassisted with twisting and turning of trunk. Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Because the essential functions of the job may require general involvement in our health care facilities, including but not limited to exposure to AIDS, HIV and Hepatitis B viruses involving Risk Classification Categories 2 and 3, environmental and safety conditions will fluctuate. To be qualified for the position, a person will have the ability to work in this type of environment without posing a direct threat to self or others.
