1. Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is located in Northeast Ohio and runs through Cuyahoga Valley National Park, 33,000 acres of land from Independence to Akron.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad offers excursions year round from National Park explorations, to bike-friendly rides, to beer and wine tastings, to murder mysteries, and even the Polar Express!

2. Hocking Valley Scenic Railway

Since 1972, the Hocking Valley Scenic Railway has been entirely managed, operated, and maintained by volunteer members.

The HV train takes riders through the scenic Nelsonville area with an onboard ambiance to fit every season.

Coming up, the ever-popular Santa and New Years Eve Train will be rolling down the tracks with seasonal decorations and music, plenty of heat, wine and cheese, and even a visit from the big man himself!

3. Cincinnati Dinner Train

You know it’s good when tickets for the remainder of 2019 are already sold out!

On the Cincinnati Dinner Train, guests are seating in one of the four vintage dining cars for an evening of cocktails, a four-course meal, and live performances.

4. Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad

The Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad offers historic train rides in Warren County Ohio departing from downtown Lebanon.

This old-timey experience—the only family-friendly train ride experience in southwest Ohio—offers themed events all year round like pizza nights, as well as adult experiences like wine and cheese excursions.

The North Pole Express is sure to swoon folks of all ages, though.

5. Ohio Railway Museum

This railroad, train station, and museum in Worthington, Ohio features an impressive collection of more than 30 pieces to peruse plus an opportunity to ride a real-life locomotive.

Trains run throughout the afternoon and admission (8 for adults, $7 for seniors and military, $6 for kids ages 4 to 12, and any little ones are free) allows guests to ride as many times as they’d like.
