Clintonville’s “Kangaroos Crossing” sign will hop on

More than two months after the iconic “Kangaroo Crossing” sign in Clintonville was removed due to its lack of city permits, is has risen from the ashes.

On May 31, Clintonville Elementary will be hosting a ceremony to celebrate the unveiling of the sign’s new home—at the school playground about a block away from its original spot, reports WOSU.

The sign was initially taken down after WOSU reporters started poking around in search of its origins (they’ve since apologized).

Its removal spurred a little uproar in the neighborhood and “Never Forget” signs began popping up in yards.

A few crowdfunding campaigns were even created in the Kangaroo Crossing sign’s honor.
