No Franklinton, that’s not a mirage you’re seeing up in the distance, it’s an actual fresh food oasis.
Jubilee Market and Cafe at 1160 W. Broad St. will officially open to the public Wednesday, May 16 immediately following the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11am.
Besides corner stores and the Aldi on W. Mound, this will be Franklinton’s only other fresh food option.
This non-profit grocery store will operate under a Federal Poverty program where eligible customers can receive a 15-20% discount on produce.
Jubilee has been made possible by money from the Hollywood Casino Columbus and Westside Community Fund and will be run by Lower Lights Christian Health Center.
LLCHC has leased space in Jubilee Graze Cafe featuring fresh and tasty farm-to-fork eats.
Jubilee Market and Cafe hours will be 8am-7pm weekdays and Noon-5pm Saturday and Sunday.
