A vacant parcel of Short North real estate will soon be serving up hand-rolled bagels and smoked meats.

The storefront left vacant by Homefare and L’Antibes at 772 N. High St. has been taken over by The Lox Bagel Shop.

Lox will also serve coffee varieties and potentially beer and wine in the future.

The breakfast bread sandwich joint is slated to open this fall.

The owner of the shop is Kevin Crowley, a partner at Northstar Café for almost six years.

Crowley has earned his stripes by graduating from the Culinary Institute of America and dedicating his career to the food industry.

You can follow the bagel shop’s progress on Instagram at @theloxbagelshop or on Facebook (though they haven’t posted yet).
