You may recognize owner of new Short North bakery

You may not recognize the name of the new bakery coming to the Short North but we’re willing to bet you’ll know the owner.

Cheryl Krueger, the founder and former president and CEO of Cheryl’s Cookies before it was sold to 1-800-FLOWERS in 2005, will be opening C. Krueger’s Finest Baked Goods at 17 E. Brickel St. later this month.

The space was formerly occupied by Robert Mason Co.

Krueger told Columbus Monthly her shop will serve cookies, brownies and muffins as well as coffee and seasonal gifts.

A special feature of C. Krueger’s Finest Baked Goods will be the milk bar, serving many different flavors of milk to pair with cookies.

Monday, Oct. 22, is the estimated date for its soft opening and website launch, with a grand opening taking place on Friday, Nov. 23.

Besides gourmet baked goods, Krueger also serves on Ohio State University’s Board of Trustees and has been involved in several over business ventures including the all-natural hangover cure Life Support Recovery Shot, time on the Bob Evans Farms Board of Directors, the Federal Reserve Board District 4-Class B, the Columbus Chamber of Commerce Board among many other achievements.
