Grandview bookshop begins writing final chapter, 75% off

Soon after celebrating its 25th anniversary, Acorn Bookshop in Grandview has announce its closure.

Located at 1464 W. 5th Ave., the owner, George Cowmeadow Bauman, says he’s decided to close “while the getting’s good” instead of waiting around for e-commerce to completely “devour” it, reports The Dispatch.

During this last week of business, Acorn will be offering 75 percent off its merchandise.

The Dispatch reports Bauman intends to move on to “new projects.”
