New Columbus-based app points you to ideal volunteering opportunities

Always wanted to volunteer but found every excuse not to?

A new app will put all those excuses to rest.

POINT, a Columbus-based tech non-profit, recently launched an app that puts you in touch with service opportunities around the city.

Filter by which causes are most important to you (poverty, education, homelessness, climate, etc.), tap “Go,” and voila; tons of volunteering options right at your fingertips.

Be it Habitat for Humanity MidOhio, Faith Mission of Ohio, and the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio, POINT will point you in the right direction.

Along with being able to customize service type, the app will also allows users to share any event or opportunity with other users.

Nonprofits can currently sign up and get their charities posted for free at pointapp.org/charity.

POINT App is in both the Apple app store and Google Play store.
