Internships last for one semester and are for school credit. Interns should be able to work both independently and collaboratively. Candidates must be self-motivated and show initiative as well as take direction and accept constructive criticism. A strong work ethic, a sense of humor, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and problem solve are a must.
Primary Duties Include
Shooting various projects that will be published in the online and print issues, conducting photo research, editing and assisting staff photographer on various shoots both in studio and on location.
Although a photography major is preferred, it’s not required. A commitment of 15-20 hours a week preferred. Internships are unpaid. It is a requirement to be able to take the internship for college credit.
Candidates should be creative and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well individually and as a team member, have excellent attention to detail, handle constructive criticism, and able to meet deadlines.
Hours are flexible and often include weekends and evenings as well as office hours.
- Be a current junior or senior undergraduate student majoring in photography or related field
- Have knowledge of DSLRs, Lighting and Post Production Editing
- Have knowledge of Capture One Pro or Adobe Creative Suite
- Required Equipment: DSLR Camera
