Komen Columbus finishes first in the country, 2nd in the world

Komen Columbus Race for the Cure has been named the largest race for the cure in the country and the second largest in the world (slightly surpassed by the race in Rome, Italy). In commemoration of the announcement, Komen named three honorary race chairs for the 2015 Race for the Cure taking place on May 16.

  • Robyn Haines (NBC4), a five-year survivor
  • Maria Durant (ABC6/FOX28), an eight-year survivor
  • Tracy Townsend (WBNS 10TV), a four-year survivor.

It may seem like that May race date is a long way off, but its never to early to start stretching for those 3.1 miles (and there’s always a good reason to wear pink).
