Braxton Miller is not just the quarterback of the OSU football team. He’s not just a pivotal part of a winning season for the Buckeyes.

Miller’s injury goes beyond merely the team. Personally he’s looking at a surgery and then months of recovery that could still be potentially damning to his career that he has cultivated over the past three years. His goal of snatching up the Heisman is no longer within reach. His (likely) plan to head to the NFL after the year’s end is gone and even the prospect of another chance during the 2015 season isn’t guaranteed for a young player who has worked out and practiced for years to reach the pinnacle of his career as a senior only to see all that work slide through his fingers.
