Local teen gets signed with the Crew
In what is probably a dream come true, a 17-year-old Grove City native will sign with the Columbus Crew Thursday. (In other news he also just became the coolest kid at his high school.) Ben Swanson will become the youngest Crew member and has been playing for the Crew Youth league for longer than anyone else ever has. Since Sept. 23, Swanson has been practicing daily with the Crew, the Dispatch reported and he was also at the New Crew ceremony last week (drinking water of course).
