Tryphena Wade is a professional actress who has bowed in front of huge crowds before, but her passion for theatre started in Columbus where she graduated from Pickerington High School. Her role as Sarabi in “The Lion King” production is a dream come true for her, even as a Harvard graduate in their musical theater department. The show opens Oct. 14, but the first time Wade saw the performance wasn’t from on stage. She saw “The Lion King” while in college, with standing room only seats. “From the first moment I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I remember that feeling still. It’s a dream come true,” she told ThisWeek Community News.
